The Nanking Cherry is a winter hardy bush cherry with beautiful flowers in the spring. The fruit has a tart taste and it is high in Vitamin C.

How to grow the Nanking
Nanking Cherries grows well in full- to part-sun locations, but it is recommended to be planted in partial shade in this area due to fact that Union County borders in Zone 7b and Zone 8a. They generally prefer well draining soil. The Nanking Cherry can grow to upwards of 10-15' with a 12-15' spread
Planting
Locate a spot with full sun or partial sun although partial is preferable in our hardiness level. Nanking Cherries adapts well to various soil conditions and pH levels. Very little maintenance is needed and it is considered generally disease and pest free.
